Dr. LEE Myung Bak, the former mayor of Seoul city, visited KEK on Nov. 9. He was accompanied by Dr. Dong-Pil Min, the Director General of Korea Research Foundation and Professor of Seoul National University, and professors, congressmen and Korean news media.
 
Shoji Nagamiya, the director of J-PARC Center, talked about the J-PARC project for which he expects Korean participation in experiments. Dr. LEE also exchanged opinions on his "science city" concept with KEK executives.
 
After the discussion, he visited Tsukuba Experimental Hall, the Belle experiment facility, where they were given a brief description on the international collaboration in the field of particle physics.
