The Fermilab proton-antiproton collider Tevatron is currently collecting data at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. Based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of up to about 1 fb^-1, the experiments CDF and D0 have searched for the Higgs boson and for supersymmetric particles. In the present talk the status of these analyses is
presented. In addition, the prospects for the searches of these particles at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) -presently under construction at CERN- are discussed, together with a brief overview of the status of the construction of the ATLAS detector and the LHC machine. |
