A fragmentation function $D_i(z)$ describes a distribution to find a hadron with energy fraction $z$ in the final state from a parent parton ($i$). They play an important role in high-energy hadron production. For discussing any important physics in high-energy hadron production processes, it is necessary that the fragmentation functions are accurately determined.
In this work, we independently perform a global analysis of the fragmentation functions for light hadrons; pion, kaon, and proton. The optimized fragmentation functions and their uncertainties are presented in both leading order (LO) and next-to-leading order (NLO) of running coupling constant $\alpha_s$. The results indicate large uncertainties in disfavored functions. In particular, the gluon function has a large error band, which could result in large uncertainties in calculating various hadron-production processes.
