We investigate Wilson loops and surface operators in N=4 SYM theory. There are three different realizations of these operators, namely the gauge theory path integral definition or the matrix model description, the probe brane descriptions in AdS_5xS^5, and the bubbling supergravity descriptions. We compute various correlation functions in these different realizations and find remarkable agreement between them. Furthermore, the correlators show non-trivial quantitative evidences of the electro-magnetic dualtiy.
