The 38th Workshop on "Radiation Detectors and Their Uses" was held on January 22 and 23, 2024, co-sponsored by the Radiation Science Center and the Japan Society of Applied Physics Ionization Radiation Division.
The workshop was held in a hybrid format of on-site and online events, with 67 participants from domestic universities, research institutes, companies, etc. There were 24 presentations, including 2 invited lectures and 9 poster presentations, on a wide range of themes related to radiation measurement technology and detector development. The poster session was held online using a communication tool called “Gather.town”. The participants got experiences which were similar to the actual poster sessions and had lively discussions with this well received online tool. Mr. Yoshihiro Ito from Yokohama National University was selected as excellent poster presentations, and was awarded the Research Society Encouragement Award.
