The 56th Annual Meeting on the Radioisotopes and Radiation Researches was held at the University of Tokyo from July 3rd to 5th, 2019. Dr. Matsumura, Dr. Yoshida, Mr.Toyoda, and Mr.Nishikawa of the Radiation Science Center reported on the results of a two-year study on radiation safety regulation by the Secretariat of the Nuclear Regulation Authority in the session on the July 4th.
The Annual Meeting is sponsored by the Japan Radioisotope Association, and reports on various studies on radiation are presented in early July every year.
Also at the open seminar on the same day, Dr. Tokushi Shibata, former head of the Radiation Science Center, gave a lecture on his activities over half a century, from his university days to what he is currently working on. He also talked about his memories at KEK, including the decommissioning of the Tanashi Branch and his work at J-PARC.<\/p>\n\n\n
