As security of KEK has been questioned by several incidents in the past, KEK is now tightening up the security measure for good. Starting on the 1st of August, 2003, the gates at the entrance will start operating except for busy hours on weekdays; 8:00 -10:00, 11:30 -13:10. 16:00 -19:00. ( NOTE : Both directions )
When the gate is operating, you must stay on the rightmost lane and use your ID card to open the gate. If you encounter a problem, talk to a guard through the inter-phone at the gate.

KEK Employees can use KEK ID card for the gate.
Visitors who has a KEK ID card can use the card for the gate.
Visitors who has an ID card to enter radiation area can use the card for the gate.

If you need an extra card for your family members, you should apply for one.
This applies to family members of visitors who has a card for entering radiation area.

For a temporary visitor who has a card-board entrance permit, stay on the rightmost lane and make it clearly visible to the guard so that the guard will open the gate for you.

For those who do not have any permit, fill in an application and get a permit before you enter.
In that case, stay on the leftmost lane. The permit should be returned.
( There will be a deposit box at the exit on the rightmost lane. )
