SARS Prevention in coming winter |
WHO declared on July 5th, 2003 the end of local transmission of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). There is no area defined by WHO since July 5th, 2003 where transmission of SARS is occurring. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare revised Infectious Diseases Prevention Act and Infectious Diseases Control Law. New Act and Law adds SARS, small pox and dengue to the list of infectious diseases. Since cure for SARS has not been discovered at present, we have to take preventive action as much as possible. |
