KEKB luminosity reached 1.09 x 1033cm-2s-1
BELLE has accumulated 1000/pb integrated luminoisty

KEKB(KEK B-Factory) has been running for BELLE experiment since May 24th last year and efforts at increasing luminosity have been continued. On February 18th, KEKB exceeeded an interium target of the luminosity 1 x 1033cm-2s-1 and recorded 1.03 x 1033cm-2s-1. On February 27th, the luminosity was further improved to 1.09 x 1033cm-2s-1. The best intergrated luminosity per day is 48.5/pb and the total accumulated luminosity BELLE recorded surpassed 1000/pb on February 28th. The operation of KEKB will be continued until the end of July, and after summer shutdown, it will be resumed in October.

The figure shows history of stored currents in electron ring (HER) and positron ring (LER) and that of the luminoisty.
