The International Committee for Future Accelerator (ICFA) announced Shin-ichi Kurokawa as the new chair of International Linear Collider Steering Committee (ILCSC). Kurokawa is the Deputy Director of Accelerator Laboratory, KEK as well as the Chair of Asian Committee for Future Accelerator (ACFA). The primary role of the Steering Committee is to promote the construction of an Electron-Positron Linear Collider through world-wide collaboration. In so doing the Committee will give particular attention to Outreach, Science, Technology and Organization of the ILC project. Kurokawa will take up the post for two years.
