Magnets into 50GeV synchrotron area being smoothly carried out since the end of last month, the ceremony was held on Tuesday, November 15 to mark the first magnet installation.
Joined by industries such as Taisei Corporation, Nikken Sekkei and Hitachi, about 70 attendees gathered for this occasion. During the ceremony, Prof. Yoji Totsuka, the Director-General of KEK, Prof. Shoji Nagamiya, the Project Director of J-PARC and representatives from companies concerned alternatively screwed the bolts to fix the magnet on the floor, wishing for the safety and success of the experiments to be conducted.
