Atsuto Suzuki, the director general, and the directors of KEK visited India from October 9 to 14. The delegation visited Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Department of Atomic Agency, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology, Inter University Accelerator Center, Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, and Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics to discuss the Japan-India collaboration in the field of accelerator science. During the stay in India, they also met with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the president of India, and talked about scientific cooperation between both countries.
 
Following the visit, on October 16, Dr. T. Ramasami, the secretary of Department of Science and Technology, India, visited KEK and talked with the KEK directors about Japan-India collaboration.
