Dr. Hesheng Chen, the director of Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), China, with the deputy directors, visited KEK on September28. The delegation met with Atsuto Suzki, the director general of KEK, and the directors of KEK, to discuss the IHEP-KEK Collaboration and the promotion of the accelerator science.
 
IHEP and KEK have been promoting the scientific collaboration since 1994 under an agreement. Both laboratories also represent leading roles on a science program between Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and Chinese Academy of Science as part of Core University Program in the field of accelerator science since 2000.
