The Sixth J-PARC Program Advisory Committee was held
|
On October 16-17, the sixth J-PARC Program Advisory Committee (PAC) was held
at KEK Tsukuba Campus, having 14 committee members internationally.
The committee started with a opening remark by Fumihiko Takasaki, the Director of
Institute of Particle and Nuclear Studies of KEK. Shoji
Nagamiya, the Director of J-PARC Center, reported the status of constructions
and activities on the J-PARC project. The committee examined project
proposals for using the 50 GeV Proton Synchrotron and the Hadron Hall after
hearing from each of the projects.
There were also progress reports from some of the proposed experiments at J-PARC, and the
committee offered recommendations for them.
