Professor Emeritus Ken Kikuchi awarded a prestigious medal

Ken Kikuchi, Professor Emeritus of KEK was awarded "the Order of the Sacred
Treasure, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon".
He made a large contribution in the field of high energy physics, with his
great readership for constructions and operations of the 12GeV Proton
Synchrotron - the first large accelerator in Japan - and the TRISTAN.
The ceremony was held on November 13, 2008.
