Tsukuba Science Festival 2008 was held on November the 8th and the 9th.
City of Tsukuba, known in Japan as the science city, hosted the annual event.
Many schools, unversities, research institutes participated in the event, exhibiting their scientific
activities and achievements. Visitors enjoyed participating in some of their presentations.
KEK presented a scientific toy demonstration of superconducting technology and
science quiz, along with a display of a 3D computer graphics introducing KEK facilities for visitors.
On our behalf, Prof. Makoto Kobayashi, the 2008 Nobel Prize winner, gave a talk on the Symmetry Breaking to participating boys and girls.
