Mr. Alok Prasad, Indian Ambassador to Japan, and Dr. Chadaram Sivaji, Counsellor, Science and Technology, paid a visit to KEK on February 20. They toured the facilities at KEK Tsukuba campus, including the Indian beamline at the Photon Factory (PF) for preferential use by Indian scientists, and the KEKB accelerator and Belle detector, which are being upgraded toward a new project called SuperKEKB.
Last month, a memorandum of understanding was signed between India’s Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and KEK toward establishing collaborative research activities. The delegation discussed all present and future collaborative activities for further enhancement of collaboration between the two parties.
