Aki Kawazoe – Pianist Aki Kawazoe studied at The Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. And she continued her studies at Tokyo University of the Arts. After the graduation of her studies in Japan, she started to study with Prof. Michael Hauber at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim, Germany. She graduated from all soloist´s examinations with a first-class honours degree; künstlerische Ausbildung (2004) and Konzert Examen (2006). As a young successful soloist and chamber musician, she already had numerous performances in several cities in Japan, in Germany and in France. She also joined the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in 2004 held in Salzburg, Austria, the International Piano Festival for Young Artist in 2005 at Lindau-Bodensee, Germany, and the Bayerische Musik Akademie in 2005 in Germany, where she studied with Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling. She was awarded to perform with Baden-Badener Philharmonie in Germany. She made numerous appearances in various festivals and concerts, including Mozart in Mannheim and Heidelberger biennale für neue Musik in Germany. Her performances were recorded and broadcasted by Südwestrundfunk (SWR). Currently she lives in Germany and gives variety of concerts both in Japan and in Europe, such as the premiere concert performance in 2012 of the contemporary music "Good wishes for Japan – March 2011” composed by an emerging composer Daniel Philipp Stotz, a piece that since then she has been playing as part of her continuing effort to introduce, an invited performance at the embassy of Japan in Berlin at the Conferment Ceremony, solo-recital in Prague in Czech Republic in 2014, Basilikamusik at St.Aposteln Köln, Germany in both 2016 and in 2017 just to name a few, and in addition regularly held recitals in Tokyo. |
