KEK和光原子核科学センターでは短寿命原子核を人工的に作り、原子核とは何か、元素はどこから来たのかを解明することに挑んでいます。 実験装置をパネルで紹介するとともに、重要な働きをする「イオントラップ装置」の原理を実演します。
Wako Nuclear Science Center (WNSC) is aimed at promoting nuclear physics and nuclear astrophysics researches as well as interdisciplinary researches in material science using short-lived radioactive nuclei, which are not existing in nature but artificially produced by the help of heavy-ion accelerators.
