茨城県東海村にあるJ-PARCは、世界最大級の強度のビームを作りだす加速器施設です。 まっすぐにビームを加速する線形加速器Linac、陽子ビームを周回させながら加速する「シンクロトロン」と呼ばれる円形加速器RCS、MRの3台の加速器で構成され、メガワット級の陽子ビームを生成し、多彩な研究を進めています。
加速器にはビームを加速する機器以外にも、様々な機器が使われており、今年はMRで実際に使われているビーム位置検出器（BPM）、ビーム収束の光学的モデル、小型の四極電磁石、クルックス管を展示。 ぜひ加速器を構成する機器にふれてください！
J-PARC is a joint project between two organizations, KEK and JAEA (Japan Atomic Energy Agency). The Facility is located in Tokai village in the northern region of Ibaraki prefecture.
J-PARC has three proton accelerators and three research facilities with using MW-class high power proton beams, which generate neutrons and mesons, to underlie the development of advanced science.
