KEKの研究活動を紹介する常設展示ホール「KEK コミュニケーションプラザ」では、素粒子ミューオンを使って火山やピラミッドなどを透視する装置「ミューオンラジオグラフィ」の展示を始めました。
またシアターコーナーでは、物理界の人気YouTuber「Quantum Kate」の日本語版アニメ動画を上映します。 タイミングがよければ、ノーベル物理学賞メダルのレプリカと記念撮影ができるかも？
We started exhibiting “muon radiography” detector which uses the elementary particle muon to see through volcanoes and pyramids. Also, the popular YouTuber “Quantum Kate” is waiting for you to dive into the physics world with full computer graphics animation.
