Diamond Light Source is the new 3rd generation synchrotron source currently being built at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory just south of Oxford in England. This 3GeV machine will come on-line for users in 2007. Funding for Phase 1 covers the construction of the machine and seven ＜Phase 1ｃ beamlines of which 3 are dedicated to Macromolecular Crystallography.
In my talk I will present details of the Diamond project including an update on construction progress so far. I will then present our plans for the three Phase 1 MX beamlines.
