A relativistic heavy-ion collider (RHIC) at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) provides the high-energy heavy-ion
collisions at sqrt(sNN)=200GeV. The main goal of the RHIC experiments is to find a new state of high temperature and compressed matter : quark-gluon-plasma (QGP) and to measure the property of the QGP. The PHENIX experiment is a one of the biggest experiments at RHIC to measure variety of signals from the QGP simultaneously with different probes using complex detector system. The recent results from the PHENIX experiment and observed possible QGP signatures will be discussed. |
