High sensitivity quest for Majorana neutrino mass with the The unique features of the CTF and BOREXINO set up are used for the high sensitive study of 100-Mo and 116-Cd neutrinoless 2 beta decay. Pilot measurements with 116-Cd and Monte Carlo simulation evidently show that
sensitivity of the CAMEO experiment (in term of the T_1/2 limit for 0nu2beta decay is (3--5)x10^24 yr with 1 kg source of 100Mo and 10^26 yr with 100 kg of 116-CdWO_4 crystal scintillators placed in the CTF. The last value corresponds to the restriction on the neutrino mass m_nu < 0.06 eV. Moreover, with 1000 kg of 116-CdWO_4 crystals allocated in the BOREXINO apparatus the neutrino mass limit can be reduced down to m_nu < 0.02 eV. |
