KamLAND has observed disappearance of the reactor anti-electron neutrinos, in 2002. The most natural explanation of the deificit is the neutrino oscillation which is driven by $\theta_12$ and $\Deltam^2_12$.
The next important step in neutrino physics after the KamLAND is to measure the last mixing angle $\theta_13$. A new reactor neutrino experiment is planned to measure pure $\theta_13$ using
Kashiwazaki-Kariwa multi-reactor complex.
The speaker describes the importance of the reactor $\theta_13$ measurement and this reactor neutrino project after short description of the KamLAND results. |
