Jameson LANGUAGE: English ABSTRACT: Discussion on Comparison of Design and Simulation Codes for RFQs： Several codes for design and simulation of RFQ linear accelerators are in use around the world. Their capabilities do not completely overlap, and experienced designers have also noted that different results (e.g. transmission) are often obtained when different codes are used to simulate a design. Systematic comparison from the working designers viewpoint had not been undertaken, so an experiment has been devised for testing simulation results over a wide range of parameter space. Different results for different codes are seen; clarification and possible future directions will be discussed. Project Activities for IFMIF, LIS DPIS (Laser Ion Source Direct Plasma Injection Scheme), Compact Neutron Sources： An overview of these topics will be given, including discussion of practical application of RFQ design and simulation as applied to these projects.
