ABSTRACT: |
The GridPix detector consists of a pixel chip with an electron multiplication stage. It is sensitive for single electrons, created in
an ionising event in the gas-filled (drift) space. Tipsy is a new pixelised photon sensor in which each pixel is equipped with some 5
dynodes. Given the small pixel source capacitance, all soft photons are measured individually with an unprecedented spatial- and time resolution
(10 micron, 1 ps, resp).
