ABSTRACT: Despite setbacks, the Large Hadron Collider is starting operations. This machine will address some of the most serious limitations of the present Standard Model of Particle Physics. This talk will list some of these unanswered questions, and discuss theoretical speculations as to solutions. These solutions, in turn, point to particular instruments, experiment and analyses, as well as to future directions for theoretical research.
