| ABSTRACT: |
Driven by physics requirements, a big R\&D effort on the main tracker for the linear collider is being carried out worldwide. The activities performed at DESY and Hamburg University mainly concentrate on the gas amplification system of a Time Projection Chamber (TPC) as main tracking device. Although carried out for the TESLA collider, the results are not restricted to a certain accelerator technology. |
