ABSTRACT: After the initial announcement of the pentaquark by the LEPS collaboration at SPring-8, many collaborations examined previous data for pentaquarks. Some found positive evidence, but with low statistics. The CLAS collaboration has repeated, with high statistics, an earlier analysis for the reaction gamma d to p K+ K- (n) where the neutron is deduced from the missing mass. A direct comparison of the earlier published data and the new high-statistics mass spectrum will be shown. Also, high statistics data for the reaction gamma p to K0 K+ (n) will be compared directly to published data for the same reaction by the SAPHIR collaboration. These results will be discussed in terms of current theoretical speculation for the reaction dynamics of Theta+ pentaquark production on proton and neutron targets.
