ABSTRACT: What can we do for fundamental physics, using the intense laser that made a spectacular progress since at the end of the 20th Century? The laser acceleration research finally gets recognized as part of advanced accelerator research, which may enable a future ultracompact accelerators. Let me briefly review this. However, more fundamentally, we realize that we have the problem of the 'luminosity paradigm for high energy collider'. Can we do anything about this using laser? One thinking might be to study not only quantum theory, but also to seriously investigate relativity itself, both of which constitute the twin pillars of the contemporary physics. I dare ask this question just to become a punching bag for your discussions to come.
