ABSTRACT: Axions are a leading dark matter candidate.
The most interesting mass range is approximately 1-micro-eV to a few meV.
ADMX is planning to scan the low energy range within the next few years.
We, at the Center for Axion and Precision Physics (CAPP) at KAIST, are designing a large volume, toroidal shape magnet enclosing a toroidal microwave cavity.
Toroidal shape magnets are similar to the COMET transport magnet.
Together with additional improvements we can potentially increase the sensitivity to detect axions even if they are only 10% of the dark matter for the low mass range.
