ABSTRACT: The TRIUMF Weak Interaction Symmetry Test (TWIST) is a measurement of the Michel Parameters describing normal muon decay. The experiment has been designed to measure rho, delta and PmuXi with a precision of parts in 10^4, an order of magnitude better than previous experiments, which are consistent with Standard Model values. TWIST has a model independent sensitivity to deviations indicative of physics beyond the Standard Model, such as left/right ymmetric models.
