| ABSTRACT: |
Boundary states are shown to satisfy a nonlinear equationin various closed
string field theories, which is analogous to the equation of motion in vacuum
string field theory. Upon investigating the fluctuations around boundary states,
we show that they can be regarded as open string modes. The discussion to be
given is based on hep-th/0312122, Prog.Theor.Phys.111:433-462,2004 and
hep-th/0306189, Phys.Rev.D68:126006,2003. |
