ABSTRACT: |
This talk reports work in progress on the QED term of lepton g-2. Results obtained thus far are as follows: i) All $\alpha^4$ terms contributing to $a_\mu - a_e$ have been verified by at least two independent methods. ii) $\bullet$ Some $\alpha^5$ terms of $a_\mu$ and $a_e$ have been evaluated. iii) $\bullet$ Numerical precision of $a_\mu$ and $a_e$ have been improved substantially. iv) $\bullet$ New (tentative) value of the fine structure constant is obtained from theory and experiment of $a_e$, which will be improved further when the new measurement of $a_e$ is announced (soon).
