ABSTRACT: Motivated by mysterious and intriguing phenomena of gravity at long distances such as flattening galaxy rotation curves and dimming supernovae, many theories of IR modification of gravity have been proposed. However, they had the problem of macroscopic UV scale. The ghost condensate was recently proposed as a theory evading this problem, and opens up a number of new avenues for attacking cosmological problems, including inflation, dark matter and dark energy.
