ABSTRACT: In this talk, we shall use high-energy zero-norm state (HZNS) to prove Gross's old conjectures on high-energy symmetry of string theory. (Gross, PRL,1988) (see also book by Polchinsky, Vol I Sec.9.8; or book " String, Conformal field...", Sec. 9.4 by Kaku). Three different methods will be used to calculate the proportionality constants among high-energy scattering amplitudes of different string states at arbitrary but fixed mass level for the 26D open bosonic string. They are the decoupling of HZNS, the Virasoso constraints and the saddle-point calculation. All three methods give exactly the same results. Some inconsistencies of Gross's original calculations will be pointed out and corrected. We will also discuss the applications of ZNS to 2D string theory, Witten string field theory, massive sigma model calculations and the discrete T-duality symmetry. DDF and BRST ZNS will be calculated if time is allowed. High-energy scattering amplitudes of Fermionic string will be briefly mentioned.
