ABSTRACT: |
The results of the domain model of QCD vacuum are reviewed.
The model offers a coherent framework for realization of confinement
of both static and dynamical quarks, flavour
$SU_{
m L}(N_{
m f}) imes SU_{
m R}(N_{
m f})$ and $U_A(1)$
chiral symmetries and simultaneously a mechanism for resolution of
the strong $CP$ problem. The structure of the effective meson
Lagrangian is outlined and the spectrum of mesons is estimated.
Confinement of dynamical quarks is implemented within the context of
nonlocal field theory. The impact of this confinement scenario at
high energies is considered.
Relevance of the model to genuine QCD is discussed.
