| ABSTRACT: |
We describe how $A_4$ flavor symmetry or SU(3) flavor symmetry can be used to describe masses and mixings of neutrinos. We do not deviate far away from the standard model; we keep gauge symmetry intact, but we introduce new scalar particles. We focus on radiative generation of neutrino mass as is done in the generic `Zee' mechanism.
