TITLE: Loop quantum gravity--Introduction and recent developments
CONTACT: tsuda
SPEAKER: Takashi Tamaki  (Waseda University)
LANGUAGE: Japanese
ABSTRACT: Recently, loop quantum gravity attracted much attention as a canonical quantization of general relativity because of its nonperturbative formulation. In this approach, microscopic origin of black hole entropy and quantum cosmology have been discussed. In this seminar, I introduce basics of this theory. I also discuss developments and problems in this theory. Refs: 1. Loops, Knots, Gauge Theories and Quantum Gravity, R. Gambini and J. Pullin, Cambridge monograph 2. C. Rovelli and L. Smolin, Phys.
