| ABSTRACT: |
I would mention an approach to quantization of geometry using giant gravitons, developed in the last few years. I will relate this quantization to the quantization using the boundary conformal field theory. Examples will include giant gravitons and dual giant gravitons preserving four or more supersymmetries in AdS_5 x S^5/Y^5, AdS_4 x Y^7 and AdS_3 x S^3 x K. The last example gives us some new understanding of the location of degrees of freedom of a (BTZ) black hole.
