We recently developed string compactification on non-factorizable tori and orbifolds. The applications to E8xE8 heterotic string give interesting GUT-like models. We also consider Type IIA orientifold on the orbifolds, and derive general RR-tadpole cancellation conditions on it. In this talk I will review the orbifold construction, and explain its applications to string theory.
