TITLE: Automated dipole subtraction

SPEAKER: Dr. Kouhei Hasegawa  (DESY)
ABSTRACT: The Catani-Seymour dipole subtraction is a general procedure to treat infrared divergences at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD. We automated the procedure in a computer code. In this talk, we first explain the algorithm and implementation. Then the automated procedure is applied to an important QCD background process in LHC. We finally obtain an infrared safe observable at NLO.
