ABSTRACT: We study the nature of the charged Higgs boson in the left-right symmtric model. Because of the specific structure of the charged Higgs boson couplings, we can give stringent limit on the parameter space of LR model. Especially with the CDF experiments, about 145 GeV is the lower bound for the charged Higgs boson mass of LR model in the case m_H^pm < m_t-m_b. Generically, the LR cross sections for the H^pm associated with top quark is larger than that of the 2HDM. But there would be overlap if the tan eta is larger than 50. Even in that case, the decay of the charged Higgs boson can discriminate the LR and 2HDM.
