ABSTRACT: |
A basic question the LHC will address concerns the strength of the new dynamics at the origin of electroweak symmetry breaking: is the force behind this symmetry breaking a weak or a strong one? This question is thought to be equivalent to asking whether a light Higgs boson exists or not. However, a light Higgs boson can also emerge as a composite state from a strong sector. I will discuss the physics of such models, focussing on the collider signatures at the LHC and the future ILC.
