ABSTRACT: In recent years few-body deeply bound kaonic states have been predicted and investigated on the basis of the $ar{K} N$ interaction which was derived so as to account for $Lambda (1405)$ and $ar KN$ scattering lengths. Theoretical background of the phenomenological $ar KN$ interaction is discussed in comparison with the effective $ar KN$ interaction based on chiral SU(3) dynamics. It is also shown that the evidence for two-pole structure of $Lambda (1405)$ is logically rejected, since one of the poles cannot produce any peak-structure in the experimental spectrum.
