ABSTRACT: |
BLG (Bagger-Lambert-Gustavsson) model is considered as the theory which describes the multiple M2-branes in M-theory. Its action is distinctive in that the gauge symmetry is based on Lie 3-algebra. As an example of this algebra, we can adopt one which includes (ordinary) Lie algebras and loop algebras. BLG model with such an algebra, however, becomes the multiple Dp-branes theory in type IIA or IIB superstring theory, instead of M-theory. In this seminar, I will explain on these topics and discuss the duality of M-theory and superstring theory in BLG models. |
