ABSTRACT: |
We will review recent developments on geometrical aspects of Yang-Mills matrix models, notably the IKKT model. The relation between noncommutative gauge theory, UV/IR mixing and induced gravity on generic noncommutative branes will be explained. The role of generalized effective matrix models will be discussed.
