| ABSTRACT: |
The core issue of this talk is to understand whether a condensate can respond (or not) to a finite acceleration via the Hawking-Unruh effect. Our main emphasize comes from a physical interpretation of the Unruh effect on the level of correlation functions. We find a thermal-like effect in the correlation functions in accelerated vacuum. An analogy between thermo-field dynamics and accelerated system leads us to understand the origin of the thermal-like effect. We apply these findings to a scalar condensate of fields which takes a finite value in the non-accelerated vacuum and find that at finite accelerations the condensate becomes enhanced. |
