    Tsukuba Festival 'Matsuri Tsukuba'.


      'Matsuri Tsukuba' will be held on August 24(Sat) and 25(Sun) in central Tsukuba.
     The unique mix of diverse traditional and regional cultures and variety of stalls and events mean Tsukuba Festival
     attracts more than 400,000 visitors every year.
     The second day of the festival features Japan’s biggest omikoshi portable shrine decorated with hundreds of lanterns,
     Nebuta lantern floats and street performers all coming together to parade through the city in an explosion of light and sound.

     1. Parade: https://www.tsukubanebuta.net/ (Japanese website)
      @August. 24(Sat):
        From 4:10 p.m.: Opening parade, Segway parade, Fire brigade’s music band, etc.
        From 5:00 p.m.: Tsukuba Ondo (song/dance -- kind of bon-odori)
        From 5:40 p.m.: The Expo float.
        From 6:00 p.m.: Omikoshi (the portable shrine) and Nebuta, etc.

      @August. 25(Sun):
        From 4:10 p.m.: Yosakoi Soran (song/dance -- Kind of bon-odori in Hokaido), etc.
        From 5:40 p.m.: The Expo float.
        From 6:00 p.m.: The larges Mando-Mikoshi in Japan and Nebuta, etc.

     2. Robot Park : In front of Tsukuba Expo Center Bldg.
      @August 24(Sat): 12:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
      @August 25(Sun): 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
       ・Robot stage show
       ・Operation experience of Robot (100 yen)
       ・Test drive of the Segway (Free), etc.
